Liberty Village is bounded by King Street West (north), Dufferin Street (west), Gardiner Expressway (south) and Strachan Avenue (east). With the phenomenal growth of Liberty Village since 2004, new
condos/lofts, office spaces, shops, restaurants and more, it has been
dubbed by many as the "hottest" neighbourhood in Toronto. The location of Liberty Village is considered one of the best with a short walk or streetcar ride from downtown Toronto. 15 minutes walk to Lakeshore, 20 minutes streetcar ride to financial core and 20 minutes walk from the hot districts of King Street West, better known as the entertainment, gallery and fashion districts.
As this area was primarily a former heavy industrial areas, many old factories have been converted to lofts, which others have become restaurants, stores, galleries.
